New lineman Bradley Sowell posted an Instagram picture of some of Seattle’s linemen practicing with Russell Wilson and company at USC.

Seattle’s two most interesting positions this summer have been running back and the secondary, and the Hawks sure kept the drama rolling with their first cuts to 53 on Saturday.
Among their moves, they placed Robert Turbin on season-ending IR and acquired safety Kelcie McCray from Kansas City.
The Turbin move was a bit of an about-face from the report Friday that the Hawks were set to waive the fourth-year back, who has a high ankle sprain. If they had waived him, they would have risked losing him but also would have had the chance to bring him back. They decided instead just to stash him on IR, meaning he will miss the season. He’s a free agent next year, and this certainly will impact the market for him and probably increase the likelihood that he stays in Seattle.
Some observations from Day 5 of camp from those who were there (and other features):
As Kam Chancellor’s holdout dragged on, Earl Thomas was removed from PUP. Rob Rang suggests that killed some of Chancellor’s leverage.
Stephen Cohen of the Seattle P-I said rookies Kristjan Sokoli and Mark Glowinski worked at left guard, and he talked to Eric Pinkins about his move to linebacker.
When Cassius Marsh was drafted last year, we figured he was going to be a LEO, but the Hawks instead tried him all over the place. Now, per The Seattle Times, he is focusing purely on LEO.
Keith Myers of 12th Man Rising said B.J. Daniels — deep down the WR chart — made his first standout plays and Marsh continued to have a strong camp.
From the transcript, Pete Carroll had great things to say about Marsh, Tyler Lockett, Kevin Pierre-Louis, Thomas Rawls and Justin Britt.
Some observations from Day 4 of camp from those who were there:
Per The Seattle Times, Kristjan Sokoli is now practicing at left guard. That narrows the competition at center to three guys and gives Alvin Bailey another thing to think about as he attempts to nail down the LG spot.
Lemuel Jeanpierre is the leader for the center spot, according to Gregg Bell of The News Tribune, and Tom Cable says it should be decided soon.
Robert Turbin’s surgically repaired hip seems fine; he showed great burst in his return to practice, per Seahawks.com.
Jimmy Graham is loving his first camp in Seattle, Seahawks.com reports.
Seahawks.com passed along three key points from Kris Richard.
On 710 ESPN, Pete Carroll said Graham has impressed him more than anyone. He also talked about the future of his team, tough decisions such as cutting Tony McDaniel, Kam Chancellor’s holdout and the roster battles in this camp.
Tom Cable says college football has ruined offensive players, and that’s why he chooses to take defensive linemen and make them offensive linemen in the NFL.
Five linemen were drafted after the Hawks took conversion project Kristjan Sokoli in the sixth round, and the Hawks passed on Kansas State center B.J. Finney and Florida State guard Josue Matias, who were thought to be mid-round options but ended up going undrafted. The Hawks also signed another conversion project after their rookie minicamp, Kona Schwenke.
“I’m not wanting to offend anybody, but college football offensively has gotten to be really, really bad fundamentally,” Cable told 710 ESPN, referencing the gimmicky spread option that so many teams now use.

The Seahawks put together quite an anthology of dramatic stories this weekend.
They started off with the controversial pick of Frank Clark that had plenty of people ripping Pete Carroll and John Schneider. However, by the end of the draft, they had redeemed themselves by signing the inspirational Nate Boyer.
But Clark and Boyer weren’t the only guys who came to Seattle with attention-getting stories. In fact, this might be the most dramatic class Schneider has drafted.

As the Seahawks entered the draft, many expected them to come out with two or three offensive linemen. And they did.
They first apparently tried to move up to the top of the fourth round — likely aiming for T.J. Clemmings, Tre Jackson or Daryl Williams. They didn’t have any ammunition though, unless they were offering a 2016 pick or a player, so it’s no wonder they were unable to make the move.
In the end, they stayed put and used their two fourth-rounders (130 and 134 overall) on “gritty” Terry Poole and Mark Glowinski. And they added conversion project Kristjan Sokoli in the sixth round. The Hawks had brought in all three for visits before the draft.
