Few teams know Robert Quinn’s pass-rush ability better than the Seahawks, who used to be terrorized by Quinn when he played end for the Rams.
The 29-year-old has been a bad fit the past two years with the Rams and Dolphins and is now being shopped by Miami. The Seahawks should be interested.
Which would you rather the Seahawks have for $20 million: Frank Clark OR two other pass rushers and two draft picks?
That really could be the choice the Seahawks face right now, assuming Clark won’t settle for less than $20 million a year.
We previously pointed out the Seahawks have options that do not include Clark, and we also offered up realistic trade considerations. Add those together and the Hawks can basically pay two pass rushers for the price of a $20 million Clark while getting a couple of picks in a trade (a No. 2 in 2019 and a Day 2 pick in 2020).

This week’s wild Russell Wilson rumor aside, it has been a quiet stretch in Seahawks Land — no action since the team signed Paxton Lynch in mid-January. Like most of the rest of the league, the Hawks have been heads-down planning offseason moves and prepping for next week’s Combine.

February is speculation month in the NFL, and Colin Cowherd just topped Reggie Wayne.
A day after the former NFL star suggested the Seahawks tag-and-trade Frank Clark for Antonio Brown, the funniest name in sports radio dropped this rumor: Russell Wilson might want to play for the New York Giants.
Cowherd said sources from the entertainment world are talking about Ciara’s desire to move to New York, where she would have better exposure in her music career. And then Cowherd connected the dots, suggesting Wilson would want to accommodate his wife and might push to play for the Giants.
So, fans everywhere want to know: How much credence should we put into this rumor?

We’ll never know whether the Dallas Cowboys would have put together a deal for Earl Thomas this week if the Seahawks’ star safety had not been lost for the season.
Instead, the Cowboys sent a first-round pick to Oakland for Amari Cooper, who joined Carlos Hyde and Eli Apple as starting players already changing teams as the trade deadline nears.
There’s surely more to come before next Tuesday, but will the Seahawks be one of the teams in the action?

When Earl Thomas gave his one-finger salute to John Schneider (who else would he be targeting?) as the safety was being carted off the field Sunday in Arizona, he was just pointing out the general manager’s latest error.
Earlier this year, we detailed many of the mistakes Schneider has made since his magical (lucky?) draft run from 2010 to 2012. It has merely continued this year, with the Thomas debacle now officially another black eye for Schneider and the Rashaad Penny pick looking every bit the waste it appeared in April.

Earl Thomas’ message has been sent and he is begrudgingly coming back for his final year in Seattle — unless a trade comes together at some point. And you can expect him to quietly play lights out.
The Seahawks reportedly rebuffed a second-round offer from Dallas this week, holding firm on better compensation for the five-time All-Pro. And that left Thomas with the choice of continuing to hold out — and lose money — or report and play for a new contract elsewhere.
He announced his return Wednesday on Instagram: “I worked my whole life for this. I’ve never let (my) teammates, city or fans down as long as I’ve lived and don’t plan on starting this weekend. With that being said, the disrespect has been well noted and will not be forgotten. Father Time may have an undefeated record, but best believe I plan on taking him into triple overtime when it comes to my career.”
