CHAWK LINES -- Seahawks OTAs & minicamp

Michael Bennett was back for mandatory minicamp and explained why he won’t hold out.

Kam Chancellor is healthy, wealthy (enough) and (finally) wise — not planning a holdout.

Russell Wilson, 27, wants to play at least 15 more years.

Among the notables on Day 2 of the minicamp, per Bob Condotta, were C.J. Prosise, Christine Michael and Douglas McNeil.

J’Marcus Webb returned while Garry Gilliam remained out.

Webb (6-7, 330) looms large on the rebuilt line. Will he play to his size?

Nick Vannett impressed with his catching ability on Day 1.

On defense, the only unsettled spot is SAM linebacker.

After three years of getting burned by short passing games (tight ends, running backs, slot receivers), the Seahawks apparently are going to address the shortcoming.

ICYMI, Jon Ryan had a great message against bigotry after the Orlando massacre. But he also closed his social accounts because he got tired of hateful morons.

Pete Carroll said it is “all but impossible” for Nate Robinson (a 5-9 corner who is 32 and has been playing basketball for a decade) to make an NFL team.

Wilson said he was nervous about giving the commencement speech at Wisconsin in May.

Walter Thurmond apparently was posing as a softball player named Dick Mahoney in a Philadelphia rec league.

We’re gonna miss Brandon Mebane and his belly roll (great story about how he met his wife).
