Here is the crazy saga of Quinton Dunbar and the alleged robbery incident in Miramar, Fla. (from the top):
Deandre Baker and Quinton Dunbar face multiple counts of armed robbery with a firearm after alleged involvement in a brazen robbery. They face a long criminal process, and fallout with teams, NFL & endorsed brands. Details in @SInow & @theMMQB legal story: https://t.co/VQh7zgiJ3g pic.twitter.com/bZdIE2L7KU

JUST IN: Seahawks CB Quinton Dunbar, accused of armed robbery, has letters from the alleged victims saying he was not involved.
“I can’t believe Miramar PD did a virtual touchdown dance without investigating further,” his attorney Michael Grieco tells me.

Response from Tania Rues, @MiramarPD public information officer: “We have taped statements, sworn statements from each of the victims that were interviewed separately (four victims, one witness). The affidavit speaks for itself. If the victims have a different story to tell … https://t.co/85MqJW2KKz

Quinton Dunbar’s lawyer, Michael Grieco, confirms to the Seattle Times he has sworn affidavits from the five witnesses mentioned in the police report stating “the exact opposite” of what is in the reports about Dunbar’s involvement.

Grieco says Dunbar’s side of things is that “he didn’t commit a crime which is consistent with what these five witnesses are now saying.”

Quinton Dunbar’s lawyer to @thenewstribune: #Seahawks CB a victim of witnesses originally lying to police who have since recanted–and of “low class, amateur-hour” work by Miramar (Fla) police. Aty Michael Grieco says Dunbar had planned to surrender Monday https://t.co/zbqkzTou6X

Miramar PIO Tania Rues on Quinton Dunbar’s attorney comments: “We have 4 victims & 1 witness who gave individual statements & sworn statements under oath that are recorded. If any of these individuals would like to give a new statement, they are welcome to come back and do so.”

Grieco tells the Times he is hoping police will pull the arrest warrant. Says Dunbar will turn himself in if he is forced to but for now is hoping police will pull the warrant.

Confirming that Deandre Baker and Quinton Dunbar have both turned themselves in (at the Broward County jail). No additional information will be provided at this time. pic.twitter.com/AThkkkKRTx

Today our client Quintin Dunbar voluntarily surrendered at the Broward County jail pursuant to a bogus arrest warrant based solely on uncorroborated witness statements that have since been recanted. As I write this an innocent man sits in jail, facing charges that hold no water. pic.twitter.com/HkIps6x04u

A full statement from Quinton Dunbar’s defense lawyer Michael Grieco on his Instagram page- after his client turned himself in- maintaining his innocence:
“His career and reputation have been put in jeopardy as a result of an overzealous Miramar PD” pic.twitter.com/hMX7FP1wJ4

Circuit court judge Michael Davis granted Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar a $100,00 bond ($25,000 for each count of alleged armed robbery). Terms of his pre-trial release include no access to firearms, no communication with alleged victims and no travel outside of Florida.

And here was Aaron Passy of the state attorney’s office, while arguing for no bond for Dunbar, raising suspicion about the motives of the individuals who recanted their initial stories to police. pic.twitter.com/0gNdzUM2Xu

Pleased to report that our client Quinton Dunbar was released from Broward County jail this evening. Looking forward to clearing his name.
