A lot of people love following the COMPetition, so here is our annual real-time tracker, using the excellent tool created by Nick Korte at OverTheCap.com.
Projected 2022 comp picks (4/8):
6 – TE Gerald Everett ($6m)
6 – CB Ahkello Witherspoon ($4m)
7 – DE Kerry Hyder ($3.25m)
NA – DT Al Woods
4 – CB Shaquill Griffin ($13.3m)
7 – RB Carlos Hyde ($2.25m)
7 – WR David Moore ($2.37m)
NA – TE Jacob Hollister
NA – WR Phillip Dorsett
NA – DL Jonathan Bullard
NA – CB Quinton Dunbar
The Seahawks have only one surefire qualifying player left: K.J. Wright. If they lose him by May 3 and do not add another UFA, they will be in line for the fourth-round pick off losing Griffin. If Wright returns, the Hawks do not seem likely to get any comp picks in 2022.
DT Al Woods signed with Seattle for one year and $3 million, but he does not count in the comp formula because he was released by Jacksonville. Likewise, Jarran Reed (who signed with KC) does not count as a loss since he was cut.
Other UFAs: LB Bruce Irvin, DE Branden Jackson, QB Geno Smith, CB Neiko Thorpe, TE Luke Willson, S Damarious Randall, DE Damontre Moore, S Lano Hill.
The COMPetition ends May 3 (signings after that do not count).
