2018 OTAs/minicamps

CHAWK LINES -- Seahawks OTAs & minicamp

Pete Carroll confirmed Earl Thomas has been absent from voluntary work and hopes to talk to him about reporting for mandatory camp in June.

Carroll’s first impressions of every draft pick.

Rashaad Penny impressed as a pass catcher and Carroll said they will work on his pass protection. “We’d like to see if we can make him available to us on all three downs.”

Carroll on Rasheem Green: “It doesn’t look like he’s got a million miles to go.”

Fourth-round TE Will Dissly “looked really clean running routes and all, so that was great,” Carroll said.

Tre Flowers, converting from safety to Seahawky corner, is “glad to be a part of” the defense he has long appreciated for its willingness to play tall corners.

Carroll was excited to be right in the middle of the coaching, teaching Flowers about being a corner in Seattle’s defense.

Jamarco Jones, recovering from a minor knee issue, will work at guard eventually — meaning he could turn into the line’s sixth man.

Alex McGough was “the surprise of the day” on Day 1 of rookie camp. Does he really have a shot at making the 53-man roster?

UDFA DT Poona Ford might have a shot as well. Anyone else think “Lion King” when they see his name?
